Telangana CM for making Hyderabad world class city

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao Tuesday directed officials to make Hyderabad a world class city by developing infrastructure to meet the requirements till 2050.A day after taking over as the chief minister of


KCR wanted them to prepare a short term strategy to tackle inundation of low-lying areas during the monsoon and take steps for proper supply of quality drinking water.

The chief minister called for making Hyderabad a slum-free city and asked the officials to provide two bedroom houses to the slum-dwellers in the same localities. He said a pilot project should be taken up immediately.

KCR asked the GHMC to develop garbage dumping yards in a scientific way in four to five directions around Hyderabad by acquiring government land at locations distant from habitations.

Recalling the beauty of the Musi river, KCR directed the officials to draw up a plan for its rejuvenation.
