New Delhi: Acting on a tip-off, the Punjab Police and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint operation on Monday, arrested four militants of Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) and Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) in Jammu district.

The four militants, identified as - Harpreet Singh alias Pintu, Paramjit Singh alias Pamma, Swaran Singh alias Shabba and Jasmeet Singh -- were arrested in RS Pura area of the Jammu district.

Police claimed to recover six Pakistani SIM cards and mobile phones from their possession.

Police said that Pintu is a Pakistan trained KZF militant and had gone for arms training to Pakistan in 1997.

All militants were taken to Bhogpur Police Station in Jalandhar city on Tuesday, a top police official said.

According to police, the militants were planning bomb attacks in Punjab.

In 2005, the European Union had declared KZF as a terrorist outfit.

Police also claimed that the terror outfit was funded by operatives based in Spain and UK and money was send through an informal value transfer system.
