Passenger from Dubai arrested in Delhi with 3.25 kg gold hidden inside bandages
New Delhi, Dec 16 : Customs air intelligence unit officials on Saturday arrested a passenger from Dubai who was carrying Rs 85 lakhs worth gold ornaments , weighin nearly 3.216 kg at Delhi's Indira Gandhi
The passenger had tied bandages on his arm biceps and legs in which gold ornaments were hidden, and these appeared on the monitor while he was disembarking.
According to a Customs official, Mohamed Salim Aliakbar, who hails from Karnataka, was intercepted when he was trying to walk through Green Channel (meant for declaring non-dutiable goods) in the international arrival hall.
