Attari (Amritsar): A seven-member Pakistan judicial commission today arrived here to cross examine witnesses in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack case.  Talking to reporters at the Attari border, Special Public Prosecutor A Choudary said they have come to India to collect evidence.

The judicial commission was earlier scheduled to come to India on September 11 but the visit was postponed due to the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Mumbai.

The witnesses, whom the team intends to cross examine, include the magistrate who had recorded the confessional statement of Kasab, the chief investigating officer and two doctors who conducted autopsy on the bodies of other terrorists involved in the 2008 terror attack.

This is the Commission's second visit as its earlier report submitted after the first visit in March 2012 was rejected by an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan as the panel members were not allowed to cross examine the eye-witnesses.

India had agreed to allow the panel to cross examine the witnesses to speed up the much-delayed trial in the case in Pakistan.
