Nashik: Nashikites, especially business communities worshipped Goddess Laxmi as well as conducted 'pooja' ceremonies of their new account books here yesterday.
Residents decorated and illuminated their houses to mark the third day of the Deepavali festival last evening.
People exchanged Deepavali greetings, distributed sweets and burst firecrackers on the occasion.
They also invited friends, relatives for eating sweets, and served other traditional delicacies.
Various social organisations had arranged musical programmes of noted singers and vocalists at 5 am early today.
