After a long wait of around two years, finally Lucknow has got its first double-decker train.
Having one hundred and ten seats in one coach, reportedly the train can accommodate thirteen hundred passengers.
The spacious double-decker train will have 12 AC chair coaches in it. Also, the train is equipped with 12 emergency windows and eco-friendly washrooms.
The train which would supposedly run between Lucknow to Delhi route, has speed of 110 km/hr.
Though, the fare is yet to be decided but it is expected that the ticket would cost around Rs 630.
However, the fare charges will differ according to the distance like one travelling from Lucknow to Gorakhpur will be charged Rs 410, while passenger travelling from Lucknow to Kathgodam will have to pay Rs 520.
The train would soon run, after the Rail Safety and Standadrd Board is done with the formalities.
