Khobragade reportedly got her help to agree to being paid no more than Rs30,000 which works out to about $3.31 per hour.
Here is the timeline of this row:
November 2012: Sangeeta Richard arrived in the US and started to work for Khobragade on November 23, 2012.
March 2013: Khobragade's files a lawsuit against Sangeeta Richard in Delhi high court. According to the lawsuit Sangeeta Richard wanted to work outside on her off days, but she was told that it was illegal according to her visa status, and also because she had an official passport.
