New Delhi: In a shocking incident, staff at Sola Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad was seen playing garba in a video inside the new dialysis centre.

Nurses, doctors and other staff members played garba in front of ailing patients lying in the bed. They also played loud music inside the ward.

All garba performing members were seen dancing inside the ward with shoes and slippers on which are otherwise prohibited fearing infection.

All this happened shortly after Gujarat Finance, Medical Education, and Health and Family Welfare Minister, Nitinbhai Patel, visited the hospital to inaugurate the new dialysis centre.

HK Bhawsar, medical superintendent of the hospital, said that no 'garba' event had been planned for the inaugural function.

"Some nurses, servants and patients performed 'garba' after inauguration was over. We stopped them as soon as we got to know about it. This shouldn't have happened. We are sending notices to all those who were present," Bhawsar said.
