Delhi govt allows higher educational institutions to operate from Lal Dora areas

New Delhi: Delhi government yesterday decided to allow existing higher educational institutions to operate from Lal-Dora and other non-conforming areas for another year.  Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, after a cabinet meeting, said existing educational institutions


The Chief Minister said the cabinet has given its approval for revising the cost for construction of 15 road overbridges and road underbridges on cost-sharing with railways.  The cabinet has also given its nod for grant of ration money allowance to car drivers of prison department.  This would benefit 33 drivers as they would be getting daily ration money.

Dikshit said the cabinet has decided to recommend to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to prorogue the monsoon session of the assembly of Delhi which had commenced on August 27 and adjourned sine-die on August 30.
