College principal allegedly tampers with students' feedback

Bangalore: The principal of Vishweshwariah College of Applied Sciences (VCAS) at Gulbarga is facing criticism over allegedly tampering with students' feedback forms.The feedback is aimed at monitoring and improving the programme at Biotechnology Finishing Schools.

Bangalore: The principal of Vishweshwariah College of Applied Sciences (VCAS) at Gulbarga is facing criticism over allegedly tampering with students' feedback forms.
The feedback is aimed at monitoring and improving the programme at Biotechnology Finishing Schools.

The department of IT, BT & ST's Karnataka Biotechnology and Information Technology Services (KBITS) cell obtains feedback from the 12 colleges and their students annually in order to monitor the performance and provide rating to the programmes.

KBITS receive two copies of the feedback one is directly submitted to it by students and another copy of the feedback is submitted to it by the college.

This time when KBITS received the feedback forms from the VCAS and its students,it found that there were discrepancies in three forms, three students mentioned negative remarks about the college programme but Sarvamangala allegedly wrote fake positive reviews in place of the negative ones.

KBITS has now filed a Police complaint against Sarvamangala.It has  accused Sarvamangala of tampering with feedback forms of students and changing their reviews of the college in order for the college to continue receiving a grant of Rs 1 crore from the government.

VCAS was receiving the government grants of RS  1 crore under Biotechnology Finishing School (BTFS) programme OF Karnatak government to help graduates become more industry employable.
