New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has so far found no evidence against Swami Ramdev  in the case of the mysterious disappearance of his guru Swami Shankar Dev way back in July 2007, sources have told a newspaper.

CBI had registered a case in March last year under Sec 365 IPC against unknown persons. This section relates to abduction and wrongful confinement.

Swami Ramdev was interrogated in December last year, but he had claimed ignorance about the whereabouts of his missing guru.

The Uttarakhand police had registered a case of abduction  in pursuance of an FIR filed by Swami Ramdev's aide Acharya Balkrishan at Kankhal police station.

The complaint had said that Swami Shankar Dev had gone out on a morning work in July 2007 and since then he has disappeared.

Swami Shankar Dev is the founder of Divya Yog Mandir Trust, currently headed by yoga guru Swami Ramdev.
