Jhabua, MP: At least 10 people were killed and over 40 others were injured tonight when a private bus in which they were travelling fell into a deep valley in Machalia Ghat in neighbouring Dhar district.
The bus was on its way to Galiakot in Rajasthan from Indore when the mishap occurred. The driver of the bus lost control while traversing through Machlia Ghat following which the bus fell into a deep valley, officials said.
At least 10 people have been killed in the mishap and several others are injured, they added.
Rescue operations are underway. Senior officials from Dhar and Jhabua districts have reached the spot.
Jhabua district hospital's civil surgeon R G Kaushal said that so far six dead bodies have arrived here and at least 40 persons have suffered injuries in the mishap.
