In a shocking incident, two air hostesses of Jet Airways were allegedly molested by a 23-year-old drunk man on a Mumbai-Nagpur flight on Saturday.

According to a Times of India report, the air hostesses gave a written complaint to the flight captain against the accused, identified as Akash Gupta, a hardware trader, who was travelling on seat no. 41E.

Following the complaint, captain Gopalsingh Mohansingh informed the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) about the incident, a native of Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh. The CISF  then got in touch with the Sonegaon police who then arrested him.

Gupta has been booked under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Cops interrogated the accused and on Sunday produced him before the court which sent him to magisterial custody.

According to the report, the accused businessman had gone to Goa on a vacation. On his return journey, he boarded the Jet Airways flight for Nagpur at Mumbai airport.

The report cited the cops saying that the accused, who had possibly consumed liquor in Mumbai, grabbed the hand of the two air hostesses when they were serving him meal, and also got into an argument with the crew members when they confronted him.
