CBSE Class XII results: Delhi girl Sukriti Gupta tops exam with 99.2 pc, meet the other toppers

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced results of Class 12 examinations.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced the results for Class 12 Board examinations, with 83.05 per cent students passing the exam. Thiruvananthapuram Region registered the highest pass percentage at 95.41.

Sukriti Gupta of Montfort School in Delhi tops nationally with 497 of 500 in exams (99.4%). Palak Goyal of Tagore Public School, Kurukshetra, Haryana, bagged the 2nd position. She scored 496 out of 500.

The 3rd position was shared by Somya Uppal of St. Theresa's Convent School, Karnal, Haryana and Ajish Sekar of PSBB Sr Sec School, KK Nagar, Chennai. The duo scored 495.

The pass percentage of girls stood at 88.58 as compared to 78.85 per cent of the boys.

CBSE Results

In the differently abled category, Mudita Jagota of DAV Public School, Sector 14, Faridabad, secured the first position. She scored 485 pout of 500.

The second and thirds positions were bagged by Siddhartha Biswas of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector VIII, RK Puram, New Delhi and Rakshit Malik of Amity Internatinal School, Sec 44, Noida, respectively. They scored 484 and 482.

The CBSE exams began on March 1 and concluded on April 22. This year, a total of 10,67,900 candidates registered for the Class 12 exam as against 10,40,368 in 2015.

Students and parents can call the toll free number 1800 11 8004, if there are any queries. The CBSE website also offers help to cope with results-related anxiety, a release stated.
