Noida: One person who was critically injured after being hit by a speeding BMW car on Saturday in Noida died in the hospital last night. The driver of the vehicle is yet to be arrested.

Noida: One person who was critically injured after being hit by a speeding BMW car on Saturday in Noida died in the hospital last night.

The driver of the vehicle is yet to be arrested.

The deceased has been identified as Ghulfam Ali, 20, was rushed to hospital soon after the accident on Saturday morning.

Three others were injured after the BMW hit another car and a bike around 11:30 am near gate number 7 of Noida stadium in Sector 24. Their condition is said to be stable, the police have said.

The family of Ali, who repairs air conditioners, said some eye-witnesses have claimed that the BMW was racing with another car.

The victim's family also demanded strictest punishment for culprit.

The victim was identified as Gulfam Ali (25) and the injured as Anwar Ali (21), Joginder Singh (44) and Prem Singh (26). The errant driver was identified as Vinod.

Eyewitnesses said Vinod, who was allegedly drunk, was racing with other cars when the accident occurred. He lost control of the vehicle and first rammed a bike, injuring the bikers-Gulfam and Anwar-and then hit two pedestrians, Joginder and Prem. Ev

Earlier this month, a 32-year-old marketing executive was mowed down by a speeding Mercedes sedan driven by a juvenile in Delhi's Civil Lines area.
