Monsoon special: 5 yummy snacks to enjoy this season

Bread Cutlet

Ingredients:

Boiled potatoes, bread, finely chopped green chilli, chopped ginger, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, aamchur powder, mustard seed, salt, oil

Method:

1. Take 2 boiled potatoes and mash them properly.

2. Take 1 tsp of oil in a kadai and add 1/2 tsp mustard (sarso) seeds to it. Once the mustard seeds start spluttering add mashed potatoes to it.

3. Add 1 finely chopped green chilli, chopped ginger, ½ tsp of red chilli powder, 1 tsp of garam masala powder, ½ tsp of aamchur and salt as per taste. Mix all the ingredients well and cook them for 2 minutes. Let it cool after it is ready

4. Make round balls from the mixture and keep the aside.

5. Take 4 slices of bread and remove the corners. Now take a bread slice and dip it in water for a second just to make the bread wet. Drain the excess water from the bread with light hand press. Make sure you squeeze out all water from the bread.

6. Take a potato mixture ball and place it in the centre of the bread slice and cover the call with the bread. Press the ball flat with a light hand and make the edges smooth. Do ensure that the bread ball is closed from all sides.

7. After making all the bread balls, heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlets on a medium flame till they turn golden from all sides. Take out the fried cutlets on a plate with absorbent paper.

Serve them hot with green chutney.
