A look at second marriages in Bollywood

Mumbai: With the ‘Saifeena' wedding round the corner, Bollywood is abuzz with the much talked topic, ‘Second Marriages'. We bring you a list of such ‘Dulhas and Dulhans' of Bollywood. The top slot is booked by our very own ‘Chhotey Nawab' a.k.a Saif Ali Khan and his ‘HEROINE'. For, the Nawab palace with yesteryear's actress Sharmila Tagore, this might be a Deja-vu moment. A decade back the Nawab family was the venue for the Saif- Amrita wedding, this time it's ‘Saifeena'. The buzz is that the couple married in secrecy much to the annoyance of Sharmila Tagore. This petite actress was 12 yrs elder to her then husband Sail Ali Khan fondly called ‘Chote Nawab'. The couple separated 13 years after their marriage in 1991. Soon after, Saif Ali Khan had a brief fling with Rosa Catalano, a Swiss model from Italy. Rosa met Saif in Kenya. She alleged that Saif kept the news of his previous marriage under wraps, and that she came to know of his first marriage and kids after she came to India. With Bebo following the footsteps of elder sister, Lolo must surely watch out her next step. Karisma Kapoor got married to Sanjay Kapur and has two kids Samaira, and Kiaan. Sanjay Kapur was previously married to Nandita Mahtani. The couple often has fall-outs in their marriage. She has now shifted permanently to Mumbai to focus on her Bollywood career. Bebo indeed seems to have got right into her sister's shoes. Kareena Kapoor broke up with Shahid Kapoor three years after they began dating. Similar to her elder sister Karisma, who broke off her engagement to Abhishek Bachchan after 8 years of being together. Both sisters have choosen divorcees as their life partner. We hope Kareena's marriage would last forever. Next in the list is ‘Shut Up n Bounce' gal of Bollywood, Shilpa Shetty. The svelte beauty is now married to NRI Raj Kundra. Raj Kundra's ex-wife Kavita Kundra, blamed the sexy actress for their fall-out. Raj also has a daughter with Kavita. With a third wife, ‘Sanju Baba' seemed to have finally settled. Sanjay Dutt got married for the third time to item girl Manyata Dutt. The actress is alleged to have been previously married to one Miraj-ur-Rehman. Together the couple has twins Iqra and Shahran. The ‘English Vinglish' star Sridevi got married to film producer Boney Kapoor. The rumors were that the marriage took place after she conceived with Kapoor's child. Kapoor's first wife Mona Kapoor left Boney Kapoor's place and took her children Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor to her in-laws residence. Even for the Bollywood ‘Perfectionist' Amir Khan, it took two marriages to find stability in his life. The actor married his childhood sweetheart Reena Dutta soon Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak hit the screens. The couple now has two kids, Junaid, and Iqra. Amir Khan is now married to Kiran Rao (‘Dhobi Ghat' fame). Together they have a son Azaad Rao Khan, born through a surrogate mother.The Mast-Mast girl of Bollywood Raveena married Anil Thadani, after a much talked about affair with Akshay Kumar. Anil Thadani was previously married to Natasha Sippy. It is a known fact that Raveena poured wine all over her husband's ex- wife during a New Year Eve party in 2006. Talking of second marriage, revives memories of Dharmendra-Hema Malini. The couple got married after converting to Islam. Dharmendra didn't want to end his marriage with his first wife Prakash Kaur, mother of Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol.
