New Delhi: Dutt Sanjay has applied for his leave to be extended for another two weeks under the provisions of the jail manual. Application for extending leave for Dutt, who on leave for two weeks since Oct 1st, was sent to IG of prison for consideration.The Deputy inspector general of prison, Rajendra Dhamne, earlier in an interview to a daily news has said, “As per jail manuals, prisoners can extend their furlough for the next 14 days and all prisoners do this. Dutt can extend his leave as per rules and we can't oppose his request.” The furlough is granted for 14 days and can be extended by 14 days. In addition to a furlough, a prisoner can take a 30-day parole in case of family emergencies and the leave can be further extended by 60 days.
