Mumbai: Last week, during office hours, Bollywood star Salman Khan went to Flora Fountain in South Mumbai and shot a scene for Atul Agnihotri's film Bodyguard in the midst of a thick crowd, reports Hindustan Times.

The crew was nervous as there was a no security and the crowd was huge. 'It's very difficult to camouflage a star. But Salman Bhai, completely in character, managed to shoot smoothly', said a source.

To capture the shot, the filmmakers had installed hidden cameras on top of buildings around the area. The scene required Salman to walk behind a woman as a bodyguard and mingle with the general crowd.

There was no unit member or security for Salman on the ground, to avoid attracting attention.

'He completely merged with the crowd, and once the scene was over, he drove away', said the source.

Agnihotri told HT: 'I'm surprised you found out about the scene. We wanted to keep it a secret.  We had planned this shoot to the T. The idea was, not to use the extras but shoot with real people at an authentic location. It was a huge risk, but since Salman was involved, we could go ahead with it.'
