New Delhi: Happy New Year is still sailing at box office, however at snail's rate but what is here for it to cheer is that it has broken Aamir Khan starrer ‘3 Idiots' lifetime collection of Rs 202.40 cr.

The record was broken by the Farah Khan directorial in its fourth weekend in which it collected Rs 1 cr taking the twenty four days total to Rs 202.87 cr nett in India, according to a leading daily Koimoi.

The Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer will end its box office run this week with the lifetime collection of around Rs 205 cr nett in India.

Contrary to our expectation, the musical drama won't be able to beat Salman Khan's ‘Kick' lifetime collection of Rs 231.85 cr and will settle itself at the fifth position shifting down ‘3 Idiots' to number six in all time highest grossers' list.

In Rs 200 cr club list Aamir Khan's ‘Dhoom 3' tops the chart with Rs 284.27 cr lifetime collection, followed by Hrithik Roshan's ‘Krrish 3' which earned Rs 244.92 cr. Salman's ‘Kick' is at no. 3 while SRK's ‘Chennai Express' with the collection of Rs 227.13 cr takes the fourth spot.

On the other hand, Parineeti-Ranveer starrer ‘Kill Dil' on Monday showed around a 50 percent fall from its opening day collection of Rs 6.85 cr. The Shaad Ali directorial collected just Rs 3.10 cr nett in India. The movie's four days collection is now Rs 23.10 cr.

The flick despite having no competition is expected to witness further drop in its collection. Moreover, it has to depend upon the word of mouth since the movie has mostly received bad reviews from the critics.
