Bollywood stars who bid adieu in 2012

New Delhi : The departure of several Bollywood superstars in 2012 was not only a big loss to the film industry but was more shocking for their legions of admirers. Their absence will always be felt in the coming years as their presence in the industry was priceless. Let's revisit those legendary superstars who shone on silver screens with their remarkable talent. Kaka Rajesh Khanna- There is nobody in the industry who could stand up to the success graph of this phenomenon. 15 hits in a row is quite a remarkable achievement while his style was just incomparable in all the movies he worked in. The late superstar on July 18, 2012 died of cancer. Yash Chopra- It was the king of romance Yash Chopra from where the original screen love saga commenced. Giving love a true meaning, Yashji stood apart and portrayed love stories in his own style which is still watched by millions across the world. Yashji on Oct 21, 2012 died of dengue. Taruni Sachdeva- It was a shocking moment for the world when it was revealed that the Rasna girl Taruni Sachdeva, a child actor died in an Agni Air flight CHT plane crash on May 14, 2012 in Nepal. This day was also supposed to be her birthday. This Rasna girl was one of the busiest child actors and has worked with numerous Bollywood biggies. Surely there was a bright future for this little superstar. Jaspal Bhatti- One of the better comedians India ever got Jaspal Bhatti left the world mourning on October 25, 2012, when he died in a car accident. Popularly known for his comedy Tv serial “Flop show”, the Punjabi actor made people happy with his punch lines exposing both corruption and typical people. Dara Singh- The Indian wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh, finally lost his fight to death on July 12, 2012. We remember him as Lord Hanuman of Ramanand Sagar's epic TV serial ‘Ramayan', as in real life too this actor has made people bite dust in wrestling arena. Dara Singh died of cardiac arrest. Achala Sachdev- Starring her career as a child actor and ending up as a grandmother in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, actress Achala Sachdev died of a respiratory failure on April 30, 2012. AK Hangal- Most of the dialogues from the historic flick “Sholay” were all-time greats and there was one of Imam Sa'ab portrayed by AK Hangal saying “Itna sannata kyu hai bhai?” Well there was probably a mourning silence in the film industry, when Hangal left the world on 26th August, 2012. This actor was initially a freedom fighter and later worked in around 225 Indian flicks. The actor died of prolonged illness aggravated by a hip fracture. Though these stars have left this world but they will live forever in the hearts of the millions of fans around the globe.
