Luv Shuv te Chicken Khurana- The chicken recipe holds a special significance in this love-tale, which had our male protagonist hunting the recipe of ‘Chicken Khurana' a dish that made the Khurana dhaba (restaurant) famous across Punjab. Getting that recipe could only help him win his love.
The Lunchbox- A rare misplacement by Mumbai's Dabbawala created a sweet bond between the two strangers Saajan Fernandes played by Irrfan Khan and Ila played by Nimrat Kaur. From little discussions over food to common talks over relationship was beautifully served by debutant director Ritesh Batra. The movie is still running at overseas.
Stanley Ka Dabba- Departing emotionally in the end, the flick has luncbox as a connecting link between protagonist Stanley and his school education. While the delicious cuisines brought by Stanley in his lunchbox fills our mouth with water, the his story fills our heart with sadness.
Love Khichdi- A movie which went unnoticed in Bollywood has Vir i.e,. Randeep Hooda a sous-chef in a five-star hotel in Mumbai alongside his all-male gang of cook in the same hotel. Showing Vir flirting with all sorts of ladies from a teenager to a married woman elder to him, Love Khichdi is love story of man with roving eyes. The ‘gyan' by Vir's gang of cooks make this movie more interesting.
Pizza- The horror drama particularly had the delicious Pizza as its main recipe, which one would think twice before having it after watching this movie. The horror tale narrates a story of a pizza delivery boy who is sent to strange house. However, director Akshay Akkineni failed to thrill with this unusual concept of horror but nevertheless it compelled many to keep Pizza as the last option in their food list.
