New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra seems to have pushed herself beyond limits in her upcoming biopic, Mary Kom.

The promos and the video chunks of the film shows the beautiful lady developing those masculine cuts and in her body and also going through a rough and fierce physical treatment.

While the makers and the lady have gone up to claim that Mary Kom is going to be a pure heart rendering film, we appreciate Priyanka's efforts to risk her feminine frame intending to justify her character.

Remember our ‘Desi Girl' with the ever-so-perfect curves and the intriguing charming personality; the diva has actually given herself what can be termed as a sharp athletic persona. Though she is not the one who has risked her body to absorb the character that she is playing in the film, the fact that it takes a lot of courage even to think on that line forces us to pat her back.

She can be seen doing terrific push-ups with that huge tyre on her back, rolling the axe with her arms and doing various other fierce exercises in the film. And those muscular cuts engraved on her shoulder and back are visibly evident even if they are only for the film.

Several other Bollywood celebs who have put their heart and soul in shaping the characters perfectly that they are doing include the names of Farhan Akhtar, Salman Khan, Kamal Hassan, Vidya Balan, amongst many others.

Salman Khan (Tere Naam): This guy never acts. He just stands in front of the camera and is his natural self. Audiences love him for that. Physical transformations, beards and wigs are a complete no-no for Salman. The one exception was Satish Kaushik's "Tere Naam" where Salman agreed to tonsure his head to look convincing as a tortured inmate in a mental asylum.

Kamal Haasan (Appu Raja): The actor, who gives something amusing each time he comes on screen, had to bear a real tough pain while shooting for his role. The actor had to walk by keeping his legs completely folded while walking to justify his dwarf character. And this came when the cinematic world was no technically advanced.

Farhan Akhtar (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag):  The actor went way too ahead in carving his body and did excessive gym to develop all those killer abs and muscular enhancements. The entire body had to remain terribly under force and what amount of struggle did the actor go through, we can't have an idea upon.

Vidya Balan (The Dirty Picture): While portraying the character of Silk Smitha in her career's best so far, ‘The Dirty Picture;' Vidya had to put on a lot of weight.  And the actress did justify the role and garnered enough accolades for her performances in the film.
