New Delhi: It's been many months that superstar Aamir Khan sparked a nationwide debate when he expressed his opinion on intolerance. However, the controversy around it fails to fade away.In his first detailed conversation after

7.    Rajat Sharma quoted a statement by renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar in which he had said that Aamir made ‘P.K.' which mocked Hindu Gods. Despite this, the movie became a blockbuster so out of all the people he shouldn't have said anything about intolerance. To this Aamir responded, “I don't agree with Javed Saab. I don't think Rajkumar Hirani, who is the director and writer of PK, or any of the actors involved in the movie, made fun of any religion.” Speaking about a particular scene of the movie which had started a controversy, Aamir clarified, “Shiva is an Almighty, who are we to make fun of him? In the movie that actor wasn't Shiva, he was a person.” He also said that if ‘PK' would have offended anyone then viewers wouldn't have purchased tickets for it again and again. “In any way if this movie would have hurt religious sentiments it would have never become a super hit. I accept audiences are big-hearted, but if they are watching it many times then this means that they agree with what the movie is showing.” He then added, “Despite all this even if one person felt offended with PK, I join hands and apologise.”

8.    When told that his contemporary Akshay Kumar had said that there a lot of good things in the nation but you chose to speak about fear. To this Aamir replied, “I respect Akshay Kumar a lot. Whoever has commented on my statement only thought that I said I wanted to leave the country. This is a lie.”

9.    Speaking about his comment on actress Sunny Leone's interview, he maintained that he would not have problems working with her (who was once an adult movie star.) However when asked what he things of the profession of pornography movies he replied, “I don't say that the profession is amazing or every youngster should join it. But some people are helpless so rather than judging them we should create an atmosphere in which no one is compelled to go down that path.”

10.    Aamir Khan was asked why he did not say anything when Mumbai was attacked and he only chose to speak a few months ago. “Whatever happened on 26/11 shook me and I was scared too. So much so that I went to depression for months.”


11.    Mentioning his exit from ‘Incredible India' campaign which would have burnt a hole in his pocket, he said, “For every campaign I do for the nation which we call a public service one, I have never taken a single penny for it.” A humble Aamir also said that he is way behind his contemporaries. “I do one film in two years; I don't endorse many products, so it's true that my co-actors have a lot more than me.”


12.    When a member from the audience asked which movie they should watch, Salman Khan's ‘Sultan' or Aamir's ‘Dangal', Mr. Perfectionist replied saying everyone will watch ‘Sultan' first as it is releasing before. On asked who the bigger wrestler between the two is, he said, “In both the movies the real winner is the game wrestling which has lost its charm in India.”
