New Delhi: Susaanne Khan, after staying mum for over two years, has finally spilled the beans on her divorce with Hrithik Roshan.
In a recent interview with a leading magazine, Khan explained why she ended her 14 years of marriage with the ‘Krrish’ star.
"We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it's better we weren't together. It was important to be aware and not be in a false relationship."
The 37-year-old interior designer further added that though they don't hangout together anymore, they are in constant touch with each other and are very committed towards their kids.
"We are respectful towards each other. When children are involved, it's important to put our differences aside and protect them," Sussanne said.
Interestingly, a few weeks back, Hrithik and Sussanne were spotted celebrating their son Hridhaan’s birthday together at a posh Mumbai restaurant following which the rumours of their reconciliation started doing rounds.
However, Sussanne took to her Twitter handle and shared that she would “never reconcile with Hrithik”.
“I request people to stop speculating. There will never be reconciliation with Hrithik. But we will always be good parents. Number one priority,” she posted.
Hrithik had married his childhood sweetheart Sussanne in December 2000. But, unfortunately, their love story didn’t last forever and the couple announced split in 2014.
