It is a trend now among Bollywood celebrities to skip the nuptials and leap directly into the parental stage. Recently, Karan Johar and Tusshar Kapoor chose the procedure of surrogacy to father a child. In an old interview with a leading daily, Salman Khan gave his take on surrogacy and parenthood. It has been evident for a long time that Khan has been shying away from the marriage, but in an interview, the actor expressed that he would like to become a father though. Fans are well aware how well Salman Khan gels with kids, looking at his recent videos with nephew Ahil where their chemistry is unmissable!

In December, the superstar will be turning 52 and he could think about having a child. According to the reports, his mother Salma Khan wants her son to have a child. He also cleared the air that he is not going to opt for surrogacy in the coming 2-3 years. Sharing his plans, he said that having a child now can have many implications than one could’ve thought about. He admitted that if he has a child now, it would mean that when the kid will turn 20, he would already be 70. However, he still admits that he doesn’t want to break his parents’ heart.

In an interview to TOI, Tiger Zinda Hai actor said, “I do want to have a child, but with child, the mother comes. And when the mother comes, big complications happen as I am not the husband material. I am the father type. It will be unfair for anyone to think that I will change him. I will not change. I sometimes feel surrogate type ka ho jaye, but then look how close we are to our mothers so when the kid grows up he or she will ask maa kaun? They will then think that my father for his own selfish reasons has kept us without a mother. And then my parents too would like to see my children. So it’s all very complex.”

Surrogacy was first taken up by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who fathered a son named AbRam in 2013. Soon after that, filmmaker Karan Johar embraced fatherhood when he introduced Yash and Roohi in his life through surrogacy. Actor Tusshar Kapoor also opted for surrogacy to have his son, Laksshya Kapoor.
