New Delhi: Seems film industry is in no mood to put big names against each other. Recently, we have seen many instances when to avert a clash, release dates of movies were changed. The biggest newsmaker was the clash being avoided between Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’. Following this, the news of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ not clashing with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ saw light of the day.

Joining this list is now, Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’. Contradicting earlier reports which suggested that Rajinikanth’s crime thriller will hit screens with Salman’s sports movie; the makers of the former have revealed a date.

“The film was earlier slated to release in June. It has now been pushed to July 1. The makers had also planned to release it on July 6 but have now advanced the release to avoid a clash with Salman Khan's Sultan,”

a source from film’s unit told IANS.

Given the magnitude of both projects, trade experts would have been more than happy to hear this news.

The clash would have made things difficult for Salman, though. The South superstar defeated Salman’s dream project in terms of number of views. While Salman’s movie’s teaser garnered over 17 million views in a month, "Kabali" achieved the same in less than two weeks time.

Currently, ‘Kabali’ has 17.1 million hits, 3.9 lakh likes and above 13,000 dislikes, whereas, the teaser of ‘Sultan’  has been liked by 1.2 lakh people and disliked by around 12,000.
