Amid the tussle between Parmanu producers John Abraham and Prernaa Arora, the film is now set to release on May 25. John Abraham took to social announce the final release date of his film. "The road to becoming a nuclear state is full of challenges. Making history is never easy! Here's the new poster of #Parmanu. Film releases May 25th", the actor tweeted.

The movie mired in controversy from quite some time because the war between its co-producers JA Entertainment and KriArj Entertainment.

Prernaa Arora's KriArj filed a complaint against John alleging various criminal offenses. The production company has demanded Rs 30 cr in back if John wants to release the film solo.

However, John in his statement said, “There has been no case registered by Zee, as reported by some sections of the media. No such FIR has been registered and this fact can be verified from the said police station as well.”

John Abraham was last seen in Force 2 opposite Sonakshi Sinha. His upcoming film titled Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran, is based on the successful nuclear tests conducted in Pokhran, Rajasthan in 1998. The film will see John in an entirely new avatar, latest buzz suggests.

John has also written the film along with Saiwyn Quadros and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, who are best known for writing Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja. The music of the film is helmed by Sachin-Jigar. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film is scheduled to release on May 25.
