New Delhi: Debutante Pooja Hegde’s poster from movie Mohenjo Daro, might have looked stunning to many, but it irked one historian Ruchika Sharma. Ruchika, in just a few tweets, highlighted what is wrong with the poster and how it doesn’t agree with the actual heritage of the civilisation.

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, is hoping to weave magic with the epic drama Mohenjo Daro. The movie stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead and will tell about the bygone era.

Set in the era of Indus Valley Civilisation, Mohenjo Daro dates back to 2600 BC. It tells the story of a man who falls in love with a dancer who happens to ne his enemy’s daughter. It took Gowariker over three years to develop the film and he worked closely with archaeologists who documented the discovery of Indus Valley civilisation.

But, looks like Ashutosh went all wrong with the research. An M.Phil student at JNU who specialises in Medieval Indian history, Ruchika lambasted at the makers for the wrongful depiction of the era. In her tweets, she pointed out that the ensemble of Pooja Hegde, is nothing like the fashion of the Mohenjo Daro era. Also, she seemed quite annoyed with the fair tone of Pooja and argued that it was not the case during that time.

Here is what she tweeted:

What do you think of Ruchika’s sightings?
