Veteran singer Bappi Lahiri today rejected reports that he was angry with ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director Karan Johar for making fun of him in his recently release flick.

“Bura kyu lagega. Main hun kaun bura manne wala? (Why should I be feeling bad? Who am I to feel bad),” he replied to a question.

It should be noted that the 63-year-old’s family had criticised Johar and even demanded an apology from him for being ‘insensitive’.

In a particular scene of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, Ranbir Kapoor changed the lyrics of the hit song from ‘Himmatwala’ to ‘Tacky O Tacky’ miffing Bappi Lahiri’s family.

Bappi Lahiri further said that the makers openly mocked legendary singer Mohammed Rafi and that he was ‘nothing in front of him’.

KJo’s ADHM

He said that Rafi Saab was considered as ‘god’ in the industry and these jokes only meant that the team had ‘poor taste of music’.

The multi-starrer also featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was released on 28th October and performed well at the box office. The movie now stands on a total of Rs 110 crore in the domestic market.
