New Delhi: Film maker Hansal Mehta has always been known for his distinctive approach of his movies. His last release ‘Aligarh’ was based on the actual story of Professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was fired from his job because of his sexual orientation.

The movie got rave reviews from the critics and won appreciation across the world.

And now Mehta is back with another project – ‘Simran’ starring Kangana Ranaut. ‘Simran’ is said to be the story of a housekeeper who accidentally enters the world of crime.

In fact the first look of the actress from the movie has also been revealed.

Kangana, having a screen name Praful Patel, was seen dressed in a black top and white skirt.

In fact, it is also reported that the movie is inspired from the life of an NRI nurse in US, Sandeep Kaur who was imprisoned last year for robbing banks to pay off her gambling debts.

Although, Hansal Mehta is avoiding giving any details about the movie yet, but the look of the movie left everyone speculating about the connection between Simran and Praful Patel.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Shailesh Singh, ‘Simran’ is expected to go on floors in August and will be shot in US.
