The release of ‘Force 2’ and ‘Tum Bin 2’ amidst demonetization couldn’t stop the former from getting decent opening at the box-office. On the other hand musical romantic drama ‘Tum Bin 2’collection was quite disappointing. John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha starrer minted Rs 20 crore nett on its opening weekend, whereas the three days collection of the latter was 2.45 crores.

Force 2 minted Rs 6.05 crore on its first day. The film managed to earn Rs 7 crore on second day while Sunday proved to be in movie’s favour as it collected Rs 7.5 crore taking its weekend collection to Rs 20 crore .

However ‘Tum Bin 2’ didn’t able to gather people at the ticket counter, and minted 2.45 crores on its first weekend.

It is quite clear from the numbers that ‘Force 2’ had managed to survive the demonetization storm unlike ‘Rock On 2’. The latter became the worst victim of PM Modi’s move to abolish Rs 500 and Rs1000 notes.

‘Force 2’ was made with the total budget of Rs. 45 crore whereas it took Rs. 12 crore to make ‘Tum Bin 2’. However in the coming days, little hike at the Indian box office can be expected from both the movies.

Directed by Abhinay Deo, ‘Force 2’ is the sequel of 2011 film ‘Force’ on the other hand ‘Tum Bin 2’ is Anubhav Sinha directorial and is sequel of 2001 film, ‘Tum Bin’.
