Baahubali: The Beginning was recently re-released by the makers as a promotional strategy before the second instalment Baahubali: The Conclusion hits the screens. But, it seems that audiences are not interested to watch the first part as it turned out to be a flop at the box office.

Sources revealed that it was filmmaker Karan Johar’s plan to re-release the first instalment of Baahubali again but too much to the makers’ disappointment, theatres were not houseful. The Hindi version of the film got more than 1,000 screens but reports suggest that the response in Mumbai and Hyderabad was not up the mark.

Did Baahubali re-release become the victim of IPL?

Well, the makers of the franchise earlier looked unfazed by the cricket league. But, looking at the response that the first part has received, there are chances that Bahaubali 2 can also get affected by IPL.

Interestingly, the second instalment will be of almost 3 hours.

The fate of Baahubali: The Conclusion will be decided after the film gets release on April 28. Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, the movies stars Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj and Tamannaah Bhatia in prominent roles.
