Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Bhopal Pragya Singh Thakur on Sunday urged people to exercise their franchise.

“I urge everyone to vote and make Narendra Modi Prime Minister again,” Pragya Singh Thakur said after casting her vote. 

Digvijaya Singh is the Congress candidate from the constituency.

Polling is underway for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha election 2019, on Sunday. In all, 59 constituencies, spread over six states and one union territory, are witnessing the polls in this phase. 

In Uttar Pradesh, voting is underway for 14 seats; all 10 in Haryana; eight each in West Bengal, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh; all seven seats in the National Capital Region of Delhi and four in Jharkhand.

Over 10 crore 17 lakh voters including around four crore 75 lakh women will decide the fate of 979 candidates in fray for 59 seats.

The general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May and on the same day the results will be declared.

Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim are being held simultaneously with the general election.
