Living in India is all about setting the right cord with 'jugaad', be it for regular lifestyle or squaring a meal!

Once in India you would die to try out Indian street food, but when an Indian goes abroad – the first thing they do is to locate a continental food joint serving an Indian-version of their dishes.

We Indians often have the habit to give a 'desi' touch to every firangi item or cuisine.

So when someone boasts about being addicted to 'Starbucks', we dream of sipping that filtered coffee at the 'nukkad-chaiwala'.

Given any day, we prefer road-side 'gol-gappas' to 'doughnut', only wise people would understand what we mean.

Here's why these Indian versions of the ever-rated food around the world are better!

Soft drinks! Sugar + water + weird burp at the end...

While a banta glass is all the more refreshing and costs 1/3rd of the branded beverages!

A coffee date at starbucks would cost you more money, less talks and no different taste!

but a filter coffee at road-side stall would linger your taste buds, would cost 1/10th of Starbucks coffee and would give you ample of time to talk with a perfect ambience at large!

Have no idea why a McDonald's burger is so hyped for it's taste...

A road-side vada pao is light in weight and even lighter on pockets!

French fries at branded outlets means a bag of handful potato slices with salt!

Imagine endless potato strips with delicious home-made preffered salts all this in less than Rs 10/-

Buying popcorn at theatres means shelling 10 times the cost of their corn beans and more money to add taste!

A roadside popcorn wala will fill your bag untilo you say for just meagre payment and with this you also get spicy mint slated chutney...yummm!

Doughnuts are rings of flour with heavy chocolate syrup and gems costing heavily on you pockets and you health!

A plate of gol-gappas would come under Rs 10/- and would even treat you for digestion, ulcers and comes handy for some desi nuskhas!
