New Delhi: In a sheer display of bravery, a 24-year-old policeman Manoj Barahate jumped from a 20 feet high bridge into the waters of River Godavari to save the life of a man.

As per the reports, the man, apparently a devotee attending Kumbh Mela in Nashik, deliberately jumped from the bridge to end his life.

This suicidal act created a chaos among the policeman on-duty but the young brave cop took immediate action. Barahate drove in the river right after the man and saved his life.

 

His brave and appreciative act got captured on the security cameras, giving us a reason to be proud of our police force.

Praveen Gedam, the top official of the local corporation, shared the bravery story on his twitter account along with Barahate's photo.

Nashik cops are burdened with the responsibility of making this year's Kumbh Mela, which attracts millions of devotees, a causality free affair.
