Mumbai, July 15: Shares of budget carrier SpiceJet closed up 7.94 per cent on the BSE, following the reports that it was in talks with Kuwait Airways to offload 25 per cent stake. However, the carrier has denied any such news.
“We would like to reiterate that these are speculative media reporting,'' the company said.
According to certain media reports, Kuwait's national carrier Kuwait Airways had entered the fray to buy a stake in Kalanithi Maran-promoted SpiceJet Ltd.
