New Delhi, Nov 20: MV Agusta Rivale 800 clinched the title of the world ‘most beautiful bike' at this year's EICMA Motorcycle Show held in Milan, Italy. The bike was adjudged the best by the thousands of visitors who attend the show by grabbing 35.5 per cent of the over 15,000 visitors. The Rivale 800 scored higher than its nearest competitors the Ducati Hypermotard SP (22.9 per cent) and BMW R 1200 GS (15.5 per cent).The winner of the 2011 EICMA most beautiful motorcycle title was the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale.The latest MV Agusta offers a sleek Italian super sport style at its finest, combining artistry and technology in a compact package. At a first glance it becomes clearer that MV Agusta engineers create masterful motorcycles and design that draws inspiration and awe. The minimal bodywork and sharp lines of the Rivale 800 should be of interest to riders looking for an efficient and fun bike. The Rivale 800 has enough slashes on its curves yet is still distinctly MV Agusta. The MV Agusta Rivale 800 offers the right mix of harmonious and discordant lines, which makes outside bordering futuristic whilst retaining synergy with our past. The Rivale employs a signature steel-tube trellis frame that gives slightly more relaxed geometry than the recently announced Brutale 800.The new 800's engine is basically a bored-out version of the 675. The the 3-cylinder engine delivers 125 horsepower at 11,600 rpm, of torque at 8600 rpm. The bike weighs 175 kg which gives a lot of room and fun for the daring rider. The 2013 MV Agusta Rivale 800 comes with MV Agusta's stout MVICS electronics package that features an eight-way adjustable traction control system, ride-by-wire, three engine maps, and a bevy of other systems.From the front, the Rivale speaks for itself. The front is compact and discreet yet able to characterize its exuberant personality. The retractable rear view mirrors are telescopic to improve and increment rear visibility and integrate into the bike seamlessly.The Rivale 800 features a new dash. The compact "monochrome" fully-digital, mult-function dashboard is designed to give maximum information to the rider. The MV Augusta Rivale 800 features Marzocchi and Sachs suspension with adjustable spring preload, hydraulic compression and rebound damping. The bike is equipped with dual 320mm discs and four-piston radial calipers up front, and a 220mm disc combined with a twin-piston Brembo caliper at the back.MV promises the Rivale will be ready in the second half of 2013, where it will retail for 10,990 Euros.
