New Delhi: LG has launched the LG L80 smartphone under its L-Series III range. The smartphone has been launched only in Indonesia for now, with no details on global availability. It has been priced at IDR 2,500,000, which comes out to be Rs 13,100.
 
LG L80 is a dual-SIM smartphone that comes with a 5-inch (480x800 pixel) IPS display. The device is powered by by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the Optimus UI on top of it.
 
The device comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a VGA front-facing camera. It offers 4GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (maximum card size not detailed).

Significant features include connectivity options such as 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The smartphone is powered by a 2540mAh battery, though LG has not detailed battery life ratings.
 
On the software front, the device comes with the company's proprietary LG Knock Code feature, and allows the user to unlock his or her smartphone by tapping on the screen in a specific pattern. But that's all we know about the device, as of now.
 
Earlier, LG Mobiles announced an association with Nimbuzz in India, bringing the messaging app pre-installed on all new L-Series III devices. Nimbuzz is also offering LG L-Series III smartphone owners 100 minutes of free international calls to any number in the US.
