Asus launches new dual-SIM Fonepad 7 at Rs 8,999

New Delhi: Taiwanese device maker Asus has launched Fonepad 7 (FE170CG) tablet in India for Rs 8,999. The device was introduced in April and was first released in Thailand at THB 4190 (roughly Rs. 7,670)





The new Asus tablet comes in two storage variants - 8GB and 4GB - and expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB). The company has promised a software update bringing Android 4.4 KitKat.
 



Asus is also offering 5GB on Asus Webstorage cloud space for lifetime and an additional 11GB for the first year. The device offers a 2-megapixel rear camera and houses a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options of the tablet include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G HSPA+.
 



The battery on the Fonepad 7 (FE170CG) is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life. The tablet will be available in Black, White, Red, and Blue. The tablet measures 192x110.8x10.7mm and weighs 290 grams.
