London, Sept 6 : The fourth generation of the iconic Range Rover line today made a global debut at the Royal Ballet School in front of VIP guests.



The all new Range Rover is the World's first SUV with a lightweight all-aluminium body structure. Further details of a Hybrid version will be released.

The lightest SUV in its class, the new Range Rover is an indication of Jaguar Land Rover's intentions to strive towards efficiency and sustainability in carbon-conscious world. 

The new model features a lightweight all-aluminium body structure resulting in a 420kg (20%) weight saving over outgoing model and delivering improved fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

The bespoke aluminium body structure is the result of Jaguar Land Rover's research and development into high-tech aluminium manufacturing technology. 

A significant investment has been made into a new aluminium body shop production facility at the Solihull plant in West Midlands. 

The manufacturing facility is low-energy and is the largest of its kind in the world. 

The all-new Range Rover model will be sold in over 170 markets worldwide and pricing will be announced. 

Jaguar Land Rover are investing 2 billion pounds in products, technologies, facilities and employees in the 2012/13 fiscal year.

Jaguar Land Rover is the largest employer in the UK automotive sector employing nearly 24,000 people and creating 8,000 new jobs in the last two years. 

Tata Motors, reported a profit after tax for Jaguar Land Rover of 1,507m pounds  for 2011/2012 fiscal year.
