New Delhi: Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC has launched its flagship smartphone, the HTC 10 today.

The HTC 10 is priced at $699 (Rs 46,400 approximately), and it is expected to go on sale in select markets next month.

The phone is expected to come in three colour variants - Gold, Silver, and Black.

Here's all you need to know about the new HTC 10:

Design: One of the first teasers of the HTC 10 was about the new design. According to all the leaks and teaser the phone will boast of a full-metal unibody with distinct chamfers on the back. The right edge of the phone has a SIM card slot, volume rocker and the power button. The power button has a texture similar to the One A9. The lower end of the phone has a speaker and a USB Type-C port for charging. The camera module has a bulge with a dualLED flash. 

Display: Earlier leaks have given a rough idea and the smartphone will come with a 5.15-inch QHD display offering 2560 X 1440 pixels resolution. It will also boast Super LCDs offering improved outdoor visibility.

Specification: The HTC 10 will run on Android Marshmallow based on Sense 7 UI which HTC's custom skin on top. It is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor. According to reports the device may come in three variants: one with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, and another with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. Rumours also say that the phone will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

Camera: According to the company the HTC 10 will come with world-class front and back cameras. The latest teaser shows clear-cut mentions of an UltraPixel sensor, optical image stabilisation and 4K video in one of the frames. The HTC 10 is long-rumoured to come with a 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front snapper.

Boomsound: The Company in one of its teaser images said that the HTC 10 will come with its in-house BoomSound Audio technology, which was found on previous smartphones, but the smaller one is likely to come with HTC 10.
