Bihar Election 2025 Phase 1 Voting: According to the Election Commission of India, the state recorded a turnout of 64.66 per cent. The data provided by it further said that the highest turnout of 73.29 per cent was recorded in Minapur assembly constituency.

The polling for the phase 1 of assembly elections concluded in Bihar on Thursday after voting was held on 121 assembly constituencies spread across 18 districts to decide the fate of many as 1,314 candidates, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Rashtiya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, his brother and Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav, Mokama strongman Anant Singh and others. The polling was held from 7 am to 6 pm, though in view of security concerns, the voting duration was reduced to 5 pm in Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Mahishi, Tarapur, Munger, Jamalpur and at 56 booths under the Suryagarha constituency. According to the Election Commission of India's (ECI) Voter Turnout app, the state recorded a turnout of 64.66 per cent. The data provided by it further said that the highest turnout of 73.29 per cent was recorded in Minapur assembly constituency, whereas the lowest turnout of 39.52 per cent was recorded on Kumhrar seat.

Bihar Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Gunjyal says, "The first phase of voting for the Bihar Assembly elections has been successfully completed. Voting is still ongoing in some places, and we're updating data. The current voter turnout is 64.46%. We will release the final press note in an hour after everything is updated. The participation of women voters was very good... During the voting, 165 ballot units, 169 control units, and 480 VVPATs were replaced. The final data will be available in the press release. And this time, we had to replace only 1.21 per cent of the ballot units in the first phase, while in the 2020 Assembly elections, only 1.87 per cent of the EVMs were replaced... This means that we needed to replace fewer EVMs this time."

Voting conducted after 20 years in Naxal-hit Bhimband region in Munger
