Hasan Ali had an off-day during his side Karachi Kings' clash against Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League at the National Stadium in Karachi. Despite not having a great day, he went on to create a major milestone.

An untimely and unfortunate shoulder injury has ruled Naseem Shah out of the upcoming World Cup. Pakistan have called in Hasan Ali to bolster their pace attack in pace attack. Naseem took to social media to share a heartfelt post.

PCB chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq announced the 15-member squad and three traveling reserves for the mega event in India. He also confirmed that Naseem Shah has been ruled out of World Cup.

The former Pak captain also declined to state the exact reasons for his decision citing contractual obligations.

Hasan has been the key bowler for Islamabad this season, grabbing 10 wickets in six games at an impressive average of 14.

The PCB has carried out a relentless schedule of COVID-19 tests on all the players and officials selected to travel to South Africa and Zimbabwe and only Hasan had tested positive in the initial tests.

Hasan Ali bowled an absolute ripper to dismiss South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen on the final day of the second Test in Rawalpindi.

The board announced it will provide financial assistance to Hasan, who is currently not a centrally contracted player, till he returns to competitive cricket.

Meanwhile, left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz, who was also left out of the central contract list, is still part of the WhatsApp group.

Hasan has not played for Pakistan since last year's World Cup in England and only appeared in some matches of the Pakistan Super League in February-March before breaking down with the back problem.

Hasan was dropped from the list of contracted players by the PCB on Wednesday along with senior pacers, Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Aamir.

Pakistan's head coach-cum-selector Misbah-ul-Haq defended the axing of senior players like Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Aamir and Hasan Ali from the central contracts list.
