Frankfurt, Germany: Maxi Arnold scored two goals to help Wolfsburg beat third-division Arminia Bielefeld 4-0 on Wednesday and secure a place in the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund.

Daniel Caligiuri set up three goals for the second-place team in the Bundesliga, whose only previous appearance in the final was in 1995, when it lost 3-0 to Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Dortmund beat Bayern Munich on penalties in the other semifinal on Tuesday. The final is May 30 in Berlin. Dortmund beat Wolfsburg 2-0 in last season's semifinals.

Arnold opened the scoring in the fourth minute and Luiz Gustavo doubled the lead in the 32nd.

Ivan Perisic made it 3-0 in the 51st and Arnold scored his second in the 55th.

Arminia's Florian Dick hit the crossbar early in the second half but the third-division leader otherwise rarely threatened. Arminia had eliminated three first-division teams en route to the semifinal.

Wolfsburg took the lead after Arminia lost possession in its half and Caligiuri squared a pass to Arnold, who curled his shot into the top corner.

Gustavo scored after a free kick by Ricardo Rodriguez was headed back to the middle of the area by Bas Dost and the Brazilian pounced to head home.

Wolfsburg's third goal arrived after Caligiuri broke free on the left and squared the ball low to the far post, where the sliding Perisic connected to score.

The fourth goal followed a similar pattern, except that Arnold tried a shot from the middle of the penalty area. His first effort was blocked by the goalkeeper but he followed through to slot home.

"He's been playing very well for several months," Wolfsburg's coach Dieter Hecking said of Caligiuri.
