Barcelona, Spain, Dec 18: Getafe earned its first away win in the Spanish league in almost a year Saturday, coming from behind to beat Mallorca 2-1 thanks to a double by Abdel Barrada.

Barrada canceled out Ivan Ramis' early opener for Mallorca when his shot took a deflection off a defender before landing in the back of the net in the 28th minute.

The 22-year-old French midfielder tapped Nicolas “Miku” Fedor's cross into an empty net to finish off a counterattack in the 44th to give Getafe its first win as visitors since Dec. 19, 2010.

“The truth is that not having won away from home for a year leaves its mark on a team,” Getafe coach Luis Garcia said. “The players and I were nervous with memories of all the games we have let slip in stoppage time.”

Also, Gaizka Toquero's late goal lifted Athletic Bilbao to a 2-1 win over last-place Zaragoza, while Sergio Garcia's 84th-minute winner gave Espanyol a 2-1 victory at Sporting Gijon.

Bilbao appeared set to roll over the visitors at San Mames stadium when Markel Susaeta ran onto Zaragoza defender Efrain Juarez's poor backpass and slotted in the seventh-minute opener.

But Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez was sent off in the 21st for bringing down Angel Lafita in the area with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Captain Leonardo Ponzio stroked in the resulting penalty but his Zaragoza failed to capitalize on its numerical advantage before midfielder Maurizio Lanzaro was also sent off with his second booking in the 70th.

Bilbao pressed forward and Toquero pushed in Oscar de Marcos' cross in the 87th for its first win in league play without injured striker Fernando Llorente, who has missed the last three rounds.

In Gijon, Espanyol went ahead two minutes in through 19-year-old Thievy Bifouma's blast from outside the area, only to see striker David Barral pull the hosts even in the 60th with his seventh goal of the season.

Sporting appeared closer to a second score before Garcia fired Didac Vil's pass into the net for Espanyol's first away win in four games.

Real Madrid visited Sevilla later with the chance to reclaim the league lead from Barcelona, which is in Japan playing in the Club World Cup.

On Sunday, it's: Atletico Madrid vs. Real Betis, Granada vs. Levante, Osasuna vs. Villarreal, Racing Santander vs. Real Sociedad, and Valencia vs. Malaga.

The next round will be played in January following the Christmas break.
