HARARE, Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe reached lunch on day four on 80-2 in its second innings to trail South Africa by 61 runs in the one-off test on Tuesday.

Opener Vusi Sibanda was 38 not out, while South Africa spinner Dane Piedt made one breakthrough in the day's first session to end the resistance of nightwatchman Donald Tiripano for a dogged 5 from 63 balls.

Mark Vermeulen was 10 not out alongside Sibanda, with Zimbabwe still behind top-ranked South Africa's first-innings total of 397.

Sibanda hit six fours, and bowler Tiripano hung around at the crease for nearly an hour and a half to initially thwart South Africa's bowling attack and buy Zimbabwe some time.

But Piedt, who took 4-90 in the first innings on debut, eventually tempted Tiripano into a big shot and bowled him.
