New Delhi: Leading Indian side is a job many want to latch on to yet there would be many who would just shy away as their heads would be the ones to roll if any debacle happens…..Virat Kohli however falls in the first category.

Asked on the captaincy, he said "I love leading the side. I love being captain".

Virat Kohli, India's stand-in Capatain in the absance of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is making his name register in cricket's history book after making one record after other and the latest will be when he steps as a India's stand-in skipper against Australia.

Kohli will become the 32nd stand-in captain for India with regular skipper as MS Dhoni misses the first Test match against Australia due to wrist injury.

Virat will make his debut as a Test skipper against Australia but has led team India in ODI's against Sri Lanka.

The series opener in Brisbane will be followed by Tests in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

"I don't see any issues on why I can't be up to the challenge," Kohli said addressing media before playing practice match against Cricket Australia XI in Adelaide on Monday.

Virat said, "I'm pretty confident of the ability the guys have. It's up to me how I handle them, how I handle different situations."

India have won just three and lost 14 of their 23 Tests away from the sub-continent in the last four years, enduring 4-0 routs in England and Australia in 2011 and a 3-1 drubbing in England earlier this year.
