Cricket Australia, Sky Sports extend TV pact

Melbourne, Australia, Sep 20: British broadcaster Sky Sports and Cricket Australia have extended their television contract by four years through to 2016, including the 2013-14 Ashes series in Australia.




Cricket Australia said in a statement Thursday that new agreement includes all rights for international and Australian domestic cricket, including every game of the Twenty20 Big Bash League.

Sky Sports will provide viewers in Britain as well as some European countries with live coverage of Australia's international home series featuring South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies in 2012-13, the Ashes series later that year and early in 2014, South Africa and India in 2014-15 and New Zealand, West Indies and India in 2015-16.

The Sky Sports deal includes all broadcast, mobile and Internet rights, Cricket Australia said.
