Dhaka Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim both struck centuries as Bangladesh ended its win drought against Pakistan, beating the visitors by 79 runs in the first one-day international on Friday.
It was Bangladesh's first win over Pakistan since 1999.
Tamim made 132 while Rahim scored a fluent 106 as Bangladesh amassed an imposing 329-6, its highest ODI total against any country. Pakistan was bowled out for 250 in 45.2 overs.
Captain Azhar Ali was the team's top scorer with 72 while debutant Mohammad Rizwan hit 67. Haris Sohail contributed 51.
Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and left arm spinner Arafat Sunny claimed three wickets apiece.
Bangladesh earlier won the toss and chose to bat.
